my folks in Hawaii

Called my folks in Hawaii to check in with them (7:00am, Hawaii time). They were woken up by the sirens, I guess the system works. Didn't know about the earthquake, they went to bed before it happen.

Said they were all good. Just watching the news to see if they needed to do anything. All stocked up with water and saimin (instant noodles for those who don't know) as a good Hawaiian family should. I'm sure there's some spam involved too.

Finally getting around . . .

to transferring my file from my old computer to the new one, only 2 months after I got it. Well at least I figured out how to do it. But now, I'm thinking I don't want all that stuff on my computer.

Maybe spring cleaning fever or maybe watching the show Hoarder has triggered this. I went down to the basement to looking for something for my computer and after digging through boxes of stuff that I hadn't seen in at least a year, I've decide I've got to let go or I'll be on that show soon.

I'll take a day off this month to start the dumping process. Wish me luck or stay to tune to Hoarders.

Day 2 of snow

This is out my front door. And yes I do suck at typing on my phone. I probably should get better proofing.

Here's day 2 snow.

It's snowing again!

It's suppose to snow for 2 days. Can wait to go for a walk in woods. Looks the wet heavy stuff. O isn't too happy--this kind snow is a pain to shovel. Pray for our Noe (I meant to type "nice neighbor") to come to our rescue.

This is from our porch window. Looks like ther's (meant to type "there's") going to be a lot clean in the spring.

By the way

Got an app to post from my iPhone. That's why I've been posting so often.

My headache is back--it's a hormonal thing. No nausea but anxiety in the middle of my stomach. I know exercise would help but have no energy to do it after my commute. Maybe some stretches, would help.

Update on Baby Ribby's blanket

I'm still plugging away @ the squares. You would thinking I could do these in my sleep-- always making a mistake early in the square and finding when I'm almost done.

Momma Ribby had baby Ribby on 2/9/10.

I need to gear this up. I have to finish by the end of the month.

Here's a pic of the squares so far. Been blocking a few at a time.

2 hours, indigestion, and migraine

That's how long it took to get home and what I have now. Did I ever mention how I hate my commute. Do you think I could make living making bags out of rice bags? Got no ideas--at least for tonight.

Why does everyone in my house need my attention when I want to split my head open and throw up at same time. What do they not get. I feel like . . .

Storm #2

It's a winter wonderland. Had a lot of fun playing in the snow. Coming to our rescue (again!), our nice neighbor down the street. The whole driveway and walk this time. Still had to shovel this morning before work. But at least, it wasn't the full amount.

My weight loss saga

I kind of knew my diet app would get the best of me. I was pretty good at entering what I ate and the exercise that did. But been slacking off for the past week. I need to motivate to keep it up.

Good news is we had 2 snow storm that I got an incredible workout with walking in the snow and shoveling out. So at least, I don't feel so guilty eating on those days.

Saturday's Snow

Got about 8" today. Just enough to make it fun. Went for walk in the woods (rutger's garden) and took some pictures of our snow.

Came back for rest and started the clean up. Our nice neighbor from down the street, came by with a snow blower and finished up what we didn't get to.
