The change in my life

Well, it finally happen, WG was laid off on March 1. And it came as a total surprise to me. No warning, no murmuring around like the others before. I felt like I was knock off center for a moment. The churning pit in my stomach has just gotten bigger and will probably be there for a long time.

In the meantime, WG is okay with it the whole thing. He was so unhappy with what his job had turned into. And the work at home thing, just wasn't good for him. I guess he was lonely--phone and IM contact was just not enough.

He has a kind of loose plan in place. I rather not say too much until it becomes more firm. But he is going back to school to take some courses to help with his plan.

For me, well, I decide this is my chance to start a craft business to bring in some money. Now that WG is going to be busy getting his plans going, I'll probably have a lot of time on my hands. And this might be perfect time for my craft. So my blog will be probably changing and I'll be previewing some of my items here. Don't be surprise if you receive something in the mail from me. I need to generate some interest in what I'll be doing.

I think there maybe a change in my life

I'm still trying to digest it and need a little more time to figure out how I feel and what I need to do.

my folks in Hawaii

Called my folks in Hawaii to check in with them (7:00am, Hawaii time). They were woken up by the sirens, I guess the system works. Didn't know about the earthquake, they went to bed before it happen.

Said they were all good. Just watching the news to see if they needed to do anything. All stocked up with water and saimin (instant noodles for those who don't know) as a good Hawaiian family should. I'm sure there's some spam involved too.

Finally getting around . . .

to transferring my file from my old computer to the new one, only 2 months after I got it. Well at least I figured out how to do it. But now, I'm thinking I don't want all that stuff on my computer.

Maybe spring cleaning fever or maybe watching the show Hoarder has triggered this. I went down to the basement to looking for something for my computer and after digging through boxes of stuff that I hadn't seen in at least a year, I've decide I've got to let go or I'll be on that show soon.

I'll take a day off this month to start the dumping process. Wish me luck or stay to tune to Hoarders.
