Testing out an idea for the restaurant
I know everyone likes a cupcake but me--I love slice of a layered cake. It has just the right amount of frosting to cake and distributed perfectly. So to make everyone happy [happy baker makes everything taste better] is to making individual mini layer cakes.
I have these aluminum custard cups for my creme brulee, I can make the cakes in them. Then slice them in half then frost them. First up will be blackberry jam, as I have some extra batter. Filled the layer with mixed berry jam and swiss buttercream.
I can't make up my mind which ones I should make: filled and topped with frosting or completely frosted.
Which one would you pick?
